About Us

Our Story

Before starting Tech Wise Office Solutions, the two co-founders, Brian and Michelle worked for a successful, locally owned dealership in Houston, TX. In 2017, after 35 years in business, the family-run office equipment dealer was purchased by a large corporation headquartered out of Ohio. Brian and Michelle had each been with the company for over a decade, and understood the benefits that a locally owned, family run company provided. Nevertheless, the duo stayed on board and continued to work for the larger organization for several years after the acquisition.

During their tenure with the large corporation, they witnessed the gradual deterioration of the culture and values they had helped build and cultivate for more than a decade. If faced with a customer issue that was time sensitive, they could no longer make decision locally to help expedite the solution. Instead, they would have to defer to someone in Ohio and wait. Customer support, service dispatch, and other critical departments were moved out of the local office and dispersed to different location outside of Texas, essentially eliminating the personal component. With positions, and sometimes whole departments, being moved out of state, there were layoffs and pay cuts throughout the company.

Frustrated by these and other issues, Brian & Michelle decided to take it upon themselves to create the kind of company that they want to work for…and that their customers deserve. Thus, the duo submitted their resignation letters and set out to form Tech Wise Office Solutions!

Our Unique Approach

Tech Wise Office Solutions was founded with the vision to create a company that understands the community that supports it and shows its gratitude by supporting the community. Thus, we approach each day with these 10 principles in mind:

  5. We will create an atmosphere that is advantageous for growth of the company and individual. This includes providing the training, resources, and support to help our team members reach higher, achieve more, and grow their contribution to the company and community.
  6. We put the highest priority on effective, honest communication. The quality of our communication will determine the size of our results.
  7. We are experts and stewards of our industry. We will know our products and services, as well as our competitor’s products and services, better than anyone else.
  8. We are masters of our craft and put in the work necessary to be considered so. We train, participate, and teach in our respective fields of expertise.
  9. We will demonstrate that we will achieve greatness as a team by working harder and smarter than our competition.  Each of us will set the standard through the quality and quantity of our work.
  10. We must remember that money is a byproduct of doing a good job for people.  We must always consider the value of our customers when making decisions that will have an impact on them.
